To reduce the risk of making accidental purchases, enable authentication. This way, a purchase can only be made after entering a password or performing another action on the device. If necessary, you can also change the password.
How to enable or disable authentication
Authentication will only work for an account that has been activated. Once this is complete, you will be able to enable or disable authentication.
How to change the authentication settings on your mobile device:
- Open the Google Play app
- Tap the Menu icon next to Settings
- Select "Authentication"
- Choose one of the authentication options
- Follow the instructions on the screen
